“Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest (CDUMP) (Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie „Carol Davila”) is the largest health care educational institution in Romania. By offering specializations in Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing, the University represents a major contributor to the national excellence in both health care education and research. The Faculty of Medicine, comprizing 4500 students who study in Romanian and English, offers Bachelor, Master, Ph.D. and Postgraduate degrees. Yearly, over 350 international students enroll in the Bachelor Degree Program taught in English.

CDUMP has specific student facilities for learning and support. For example, The Central Library of the University was founded in 1857 and supports the educational and research needs of the students, by providing access to 580,796 medical books and online resources. The Centre for Psychological, Educational, and Professional Counselling focuses on offering students vocational guidance, career-related support, and psychological advice.

Student Associations of CDUMP organize many healthcare social events and are constantly encouraged to engage in educational, administrative, scientific, international, and national teaching activities. Recently, CDUMP has developed several new research centers specialized in emerging domains such as Genomics, Aerospatial Medicine and Digital Health Solutions.
