Members of WUM

Magdalena Łazarewicz, MA, PhD, is a health psychologist, researcher, and educator specializing in quality of life, mental health, well-being, resilience, and psychological safety. She holds a PhD in health sciences with a specialization in psychology and serves as an associate professor at the Department of Health Psychology at the Medical University of Warsaw (MUW).

With over 15 years of experience, she integrates her clinical work at the university hospital, research, and teaching to develop practical, evidence-based training programs focusing on interpersonal and intrapersonal competencies, especially in multicultural environments. She is also the coordinator of the University Counseling Services, providing psychological support for MUW students.

Magdalena is involved in numerous scientific and applied international projects, particularly those exploring positive correlates of general and mental health and wellbeing. She is also a recognized author of textbooks, scientific articles, and conference presentations, addressing key factors that influence quality of life and well-being across diverse populations.

Her passion for education, research, and clinical practice drives her to actively contribute to fostering well-being in healthcare and educational settings, supporting the vision of a “Healthy Medical University.”.


Dorota Włodarczyk, MA, PhD (with postdoctoral degree/habilitated doctor of health sciences) is a health psychologist, researcher and academic teacher. She is the head of the Department of Health Psychology at the Medical University of Warsaw (MUW) and the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at the University Clinical Center of the MUW. She is also a consultant at the University Counseling Services, providing psychological support for MUW students.

In her professional activity, she focuses primarily on mutual relations in the triad of patients – medical staff – medical students and the application of psychological knowledge and skills to the needs of these groups. This refers to both scientific, educational and clinical activities.

She is involved in numerous scientific projects on coping with stress in academic and clinical setting, wellbeing and quality of life of students, occupational health psychology in reference to medical staff but also psychological functioning of patients in different clinical groups, health behaviours change and health promotion. 

As an academic teacher, she specializes in medical psychology and applied psychology, prepares and conducts trainings and workshops on communication skills and medical staff-patient relations. She is also a recognized author of textbooks, scientific articles, and conference presentations on the above issues.


Katarzyna Moszczynska is a psychologist who specialises in neuropsychological diagnosis and rehabilitation of cognitive functions. She completed her master’s degree in psychology with a specialisation in neuropsychology at the University of Warsaw (2024). She also completed specialised training in crisis intervention. She works daily at the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw, the Department of Palliative Medicine, and the Budzik Clinic for adults. In addition to supporting patients’ families, she deals with neuropsychological rehabilitation and the assessment of the state of consciousness after brain injury. She has gained experience at the MUW Neurosurgery Clinic, the Neurology of the Bródnowski Hospital, and the Neurology Clinic of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology. She further develops her knowledge at specialist training courses and national conferences in neuropsychology, neurology, psychiatry, neurosurgery, and psycho-oncology. She has collaborated on research projects on topics such as social cognition in patients with cerebellar tumours or cognitive status in patients with drug-resistant temporal epilepsy.


Ms. Hanna Wojtasik, MSc, works as an administrative specialist at the Medical University of Warsaw. She supports the implementation of international projects in the field of medical education, cooperating with academic and institutional partners.

Within the Erasmus+ programme, she supports implementation of KA2 cooperation projects and coordinates KA171 academic mobility projects. She is responsible for the administrative management of projects, including organizational coordination, maintaining project documentation, and providing ongoing support to the project team. She also contributes to the preparation of reports and other required project materials.
